Kantar Retains Slovakian TV Audience Measurement Contract

Slovakian TV audience measurement steering committee PMT has awarded Kantar an eight-year extension to its existing contract to provide official TV audience measurement data for the country. This new contract runs until 2029.

Vladimir FatikaKantar has delivered Slovakia's ratings continuously since 2004, and in 2014, PMT renewed its contract with Kantar until 2021. The new contract uses a representative panel of 1,200 households, monitoring 150 channels, and includes a complete upgrade to the underlying technology of the service.

This upgrade involves the roll-out of Kantar's People Meter 7, which uses a touch-screen tablet to measure live and catch-up viewing on TV. As well as new hardware, People Meter 7 also offers new software that the firm claims improves engagement with panel members and ensures continuous data capture through Kantar's audio-matching technology, i33.
