Martin Hamblin GfK US Appointments

Alastair Bruce has been appointed General Manager at Martin Hamblin GfK Inc, the US-based office of Martin Hamblin GfK Global HealthCare. Bruce has been the Director in charge of business development over the last year. Several other moves and appointments have also been announced.

In more than 16 years of professional and managerial experience in MR, Bruce has worked for companies including RoperASW (now part of NOP World), Greenfield Online and NFO Worldwide Inc.

The current CEO Allan Bowditch will step down from the role in May but continue to provide training and consultancy from the position of non-executive Chairman.

Stephen Grundy, Group MD of Martin Hamblin GfK Global HealthCare, says Bruce has 'championed our developments in internet research and made a significant contribution in attracting new clients to Martin Hamblin GfK' and is confident that 'he will prove an effective and inspirational leader, helping us achieve our goal of being leaders in global new product development research for the healthcare market'.

Several other appointments and promotions are also announced in the US office. Jila Bick has been promoted to Senior International Research Director of Strategic Accounts and Sharon Paik to Associate Director. Elly Simmons joins the US team as Associate Director in a move from Martin Hamblin GfK's Consumer and Business Division, and Chris Monos joins as Director of Forecasting and Modeling. Monos was previously Vice President at Copernicus Marketing Consulting in Westport and his key experience includes targeting, positioning, pricing strategies and brand growth forecasting.
