Backtracks Debuts Real-Time Podcast Analytics Resource

In the US, podcast management and advertising platform Backtracks has launched a solution combining real-time behavioral analytics with engagement and retention data, to help publishers understand which sections of content capture an audience's attention.

Jonathan GillBacktracks' platform gives clients podcast insights, and helps them use these to engage and reach their target audiences. The firm's new Native SDKs for Apple and Android platforms allow developers to measure improvements in engagement over time, while listeners and app users can enhance their audio and podcast experience with tools such as 'intelligent silence reduction' and 'human voice boost'.

The solution detects plays, pauses, listening time, content completion and engagement rates, adding data on listeners' geographical location. Resulting podcast metrics can not only determine whether a podcast was downloaded or not, but also how long it was listened to and engaged with.
