New Cross-Platform Feature for Canvs TV

March 4 2021

In New York, emotion and behavior insights specialist Canvs AI has released a cross-platform feature for its Canvs TV solution, offering users a quant and qual overview of how their program is performing across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube TV.

Jared FeldmanCanvs uses a patented AI and machine learning platform to analyze 'one trillion expressions and more than ten billion conversations' and extract insight from text from social media, marketing campaigns and customer surveys. Users can understand how consumers feel, why they feel that way, and the business impact those feelings and behavior create for brands. In December, the firm added topical analysis to its Canvs TV and Canvs Social products, with analysis of neutral and emotional comments to help brands understand how their customers are feeling about particular subjects and issues.

With the latest new feature, Canvs TV users have access to inline benchmarking options, enabling them to see how their syndicated OTT and linear TV airings stack up against others in similar genres. These benchmarks are fully customizable and include two new options: 'Network Type' and 'Daypart' (which segment of the day the airing takes place). According to the firm, this allows for quick comparison of metrics such as volume, total reactions, average reactions, and any emotions selected for assets of the same genre and airing type.

The Canvs TV interface is also being upgraded with the addition of pie charts indicating key metrics per source, 'Average Reaction Rate', 'Total Engagement' and 'Total Views', allowing users to instantly visualize trends in their data. CEO and founder Jared Feldman (pictured) comments: 'The new cross-platform view in Canvs TV helps users quickly see the whole picture - how audiences are emotionally reacting to their content, and what topics are resonating with them, so they can act on those insights to stay competitive'.
