Funds for Web and App Testing Platform LambdaTest

June 3 2021

In San Francisco, web site and app testing platform LambdaTest has raised $16m in a Series B round of funding, which it will use to scale its technology and broaden its reach with the tester community, as it launches a new suite of products.

Asad Khan and Jay SinghFounded in 2017 by Asad Khan and Jay Singh, LambdaTest offers a platform through which users can test the look, feel and performance of their web sites and apps across '2,000 different browsers' and by operating systems and device combinations. In addition, the firm supports the developer community by identifying defects in code.

New funding has been led by Sequoia Capital India, with participation from Telstra Ventures, and follows LambdaTest's $6m Series A round raised last December, as well as its pre-Series A of $2m in 2019, and $1m in 2018.

Khan comments: 'Companies are increasingly competing on customer experience and as such are releasing software updates faster, more frequently to remain relevant. In doing so, there is a greater demand for continuous testing to ensure quality releases in the production environment. This funding round validates our efforts in building a robust cloud testing platform that is truly resonating with the testing and developer community globally'.
