June 7 2021

Strategic intelligence firm Aimpoint Research has appointed retired Colonel Ken Gilliam, former Director of Strategic Wargaming at the U.S. Army War College, to lead its Fusion business practice.

Aimpoint Gives Lead Role to Wargames ExpertAimpoint - a certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) - focuses on the agri-food value chain, blending best practices from military intelligence disciplines with research methods and analysis skills.

Fusion brings together data and insights to help clients forecast and plan for the future. West Point graduate Gilliam, who joined the company three months ago under the U.S. Army's Career Skills Program, will lead the integration of multiple complex MR and competitive intelligence projects for clients and help meet increasing demand for Aimpoint's wargames.

He holds a Master of Science in Operations Research from Georgia Tech, a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College and during a 27-year military career served as Director of Strategic Wargaming.

Brett Sciotto, Aimpoint's founder and CEO, comments: 'Fusion Leaders are at the center of our intelligence integration as we serve clients across the entire agri-food value chain. Ken brings a wealth of experience in strategic thinking, integrated intelligence, leadership, wargaming and much more. Our organization and our clients will benefit greatly from his perspective and analysis and I could not be more excited to have him join our team'.

Gilliam says the Aimpoint team has done an excellent job of exposing him to the dynamics of the agri-food value chain, and 'helped ease my transition into the civilian world'. He adds: 'I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and start making a difference'.
