MM-Eye Team Launches Sustainability Practice

The directors of MR agency MM-Eye have launched a sustainability business change practice called The Say Do Company, promising to help clients drive profit through a combination of customer insight, business change management and sustainability expertise.

Damien FieldAccording to the team, the commercial opportunity of sustainability is much advertised, but the practical steps needed to seize it are hard to identify. This, they say, leads to businesses paying lip-service to sustainability, treating it as a compliance matter or PR device rather than a business driver that can change behaviour at the tills. Say Do's mission is to help businesses close the 'say do gap', not just to reduce their environmental impact, but also to improve customer lifetime value, boost financial performance and strengthen reputation.

Using a proprietary process called 4D - which combines consumer research with tools and techniques from MR and change strategy, including ROI analysis - the team works with companies to discover, define and quantify the value of sustainability. Say Do then analyses and measures the potential impact of strategic options, with the aim of making the proposition more 'palatable' for investors.

Commenting on the launch, co-founder of the business Damien Field (pictured) said: 'At MM-Eye we've been undertaking research into the environment and sustainability for at least a decade. We've seen how people overclaim the importance of sustainability, and how many businesses pay lip service to sustainability. Both these 'say do gaps' need to close if we are to make the required progress, and we've set up The Say Do Company to help businesses seize the commercial opportunity of putting sustainability at the heart of their customer proposition'.
