API Insights Firm Moesif Gets Funds to Grow Headcount

In San Francisco, API user behavior insights and analytics firm Moesif has raised $12m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use to hire across engineering, sales, developer relations and customer success roles.

Moesif provides product insights into how customers use APIs and tools to build better developer experiences. Using the platform, product owners can measure activation funnels - such as the time it took for developers to sign up and make their first API call - or reach out when a customer is struggling with the API.

New funding was led by David Sacks and Arra Malekzadeh of Craft Ventures, with participation from previous investor Merus Capital, bringing the total raised to $15.5m. Moesif co-founder and CEO Derric Gilling (pictured) comments: 'The Craft team brings a wealth of knowledge and best practices about bottom-up SaaS companies and their sales motion that will be helpful for us in the years ahead.
