Spiketrap and Rival Link for Qual to Quant Insights

Conversation analytics specialist Spiketrap has teamed up with mobile phone chat survey firm Rival Technologies to offer researchers 'deeper quantitative insights from qualitative datasets'.

Niamh CunninghamSpiketrap's proprietary Clair AI tool extracts meaning from unstructured datasets to provide insights in context via a dashboard, with a particular focus on 'high velocity' online environments. Services include brand intelligence, influencer insights, contextual ad targeting, impact measurement and brand safety monitoring. The firm raised $3m in a seed round of funding last July, and this summer teamed up with Comscore to expand its Predictive Audiences cookieless targeting solution specifically for gamers.

The new partnership will see Rival using Spiketrap's natural language processing AI to contextualize open-ended survey responses, extrapolate prevalent themes, quantify sentiment, and inform future research initiatives.
