Profitable ISG On The Rise Again

Stamford, CT-based tech research and advisory firm Information Services Group has announced revenue of $71m for the third quarter, up 14% (constant currency) on Q3 2020; and adjusted EBITDA of $10.2 million, up 24%.

Both figures are very similar to those reported in 2018, indicating a substantial recovery after a difficult year in 2019 and a pandemic-hit 2020. Reported revenues were up 22% to $42.8m in the Americas, down 5% to $20.1m in Europe, and up 38% to $8.1m in Asia Pacific.

Foundedfifteen years ago, ISG employs more than 1,300 professionals operating in more than twenty countries and combining industry and technology expertise with research and analytical capabilities. Its acquisitions include outsourcing group TPI, researchers Compass and STA Consulting, IT trends analyst Saugatuck Technology, subscription-based research, advisory and benchmarking firm Experton Group AG, and outsourcing advisory firm Alsbridge Holdings.

Chairman and CEO Michael P. Connors (pictured) says the strong performance 'builds on the firm's momentum in the first half'. For the fourth quarter, the firm is targeting revenues of $67m - $69m and adjusted EBITDA of $9m - $10m, reflecting 'the current demand environment, tempered somewhat by the lingering impact of Covid, particularly in Europe, and the normal impact of the year-end holiday season'.
