Attest and Lucid Sign Long-Term Agreement

December 20 2021

Programmatic sampling and research tech firm Lucid, headquartered in the US, has announced a multi-year agreement with UK-based consumer research platform Attest.

Jeremy KingBoth companies have enjoyed rapid growth over the last few years, with Attest raising $60m in a Series B round of funding in October, and planning continued expansion across North America and Europe; and Lucid due to be acquired for around $1.1bn by insight exchange and sample management platform Cint, completing before the end of the year. Lucid says the last year has broken records for growth across the EMEA region, while Attest has enjoyed record global growth.

Founded in 2010, Lucid is headquartered in New Orleans, LA with offices throughout the US, Europe and Asia. Attest was founded five years later and has grown to 140 people, based in London and New York - around a hundred were added in the two years prior to 2021.

Emel Mohammadally, SVP of EMEA at Lucid comments: 'Gaining ethically sourced insights, knowledge, and data on future or potential customers has become crucial to business success and the rise of technology-driven research platforms, like Lucid and Attest, are making it possible for anyone to conduct research and analysis in their own way, time and budget'.

According to Attest CEO Jeremy King (pictured), 'Human expertise and judgement will always be an essential part of research, and now software and technology are enabling advances in automation, efficiency and scale. This makes it much easier for anyone who is curious about consumers or trends to get the answers they need on a continuous basis, to uncover bold choices and make winning moves quickly. Lucid shares the same mindset as Attest when it comes to radically improving the capabilities and availability of market research. We're all very excited to continue our partnership'.
