$300m for Device UX and Measurement Specialist Branch

February 14 2022

Branch, which offers solutions that unify user experience (UX) and measurement across devices and channels, has raised $300m in a new round of funding, which values the business at $4bn.

Alex AustinFounded in 2014, Redwood City, CA-based Branch offers mobile linking and attribution technology to support end-user acquisition, engagement and marketing measurement across all platforms, devices, and channels. In addition, the firm's cohort analysis tool uses data from Branch's attribution engine, to enable marketers to build cohort reports that show performance from all of their marketing campaigns.

Branch, which has more than 500 employees and sixteen offices around the globe, powers mobile links and cross-platform measurement to more than three billion monthly users across the globe. New funding has been led by existing investor NEA and will be used to expand Branch's platform, grow its mobile measurement partner solutions for paid media, and accelerate its research into new solutions to improve app discovery.

Alex Austin (pictured), CEO of Branch, comments: 'We spend more than a third of our waking hours on our phones, with over 90% of that time spent in apps. Despite this, many apps are struggling to survive as they contend with changes in the mobile ecosystem, from privacy changes like ATT to the explosion of new device types. Branch is committed to helping companies overcome these new ecosystem challenges by expanding our product offerings to reflect this new normal, while still maintaining our commitment to user privacy.'
