Expansion Funds for Customer Data Platform Loyal Guru

In Barcelona, retail customer data platform (CDP) Loyal Guru has raised EUR 8m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use for expansion across Europe and the Americas, and to further develop its product.

Borja Sanfeliu and Javi FernándezFounded in 2016 by Borja Sanfeliu and Javi Fernández (pictured), the platform was built specifically for the retail sector, and is used to deliver hyper-personalised, omnichannel loyalty and engagement solutions. Retailer users can gather, cleanse, store, enrich and distribute disparate customer data from millions of consumers, thousands of SKUs, and hundreds of product categories. In addition, Loyal Guru helps clients build personalised profiles, and map the customer engagement lifecycle.

New funding was led by Nauta Capital, with participation from existing investor Greycroft. Sanfeliu comments: 'We are delighted with this second round of investment, having bootstrapped the business until 2019. Our new partner, Nauta Capital, brings deep B2B SaaS expertise and a team that has worked across our core European market. They are extremely well aligned to our business, and their expertise and support will be vital as we continue to help retailers and grocers around the world boost their growth'.
