Gen2 and ODP Link to Support Insights Sector M&A

April 13 2022

In the US, insights industry consulting and advisory firm Gen2 Advisors and boutique investment bank Oaklins DeSilva+Phillips (ODP) have partnered to deliver merger and acquisition advice to clients across the sector.

Gregg Archibald and Leonard MurphyFounded in 2012, and led by Gregg Archibald and Leonard Murphy (pictured), Gen2 offers clients corporate insights supplier consulting, supplier insights advisory services and consulting, and M&A support. Oaklins DeSilva+Phillips has advised numerous research and consulting clients since its founding in 1996, and its MDs - Ken Sonenclar (advised RDA Group on its sale to Ipsos, Vision Critical on its sale to Maru, and MarketTools/TPG on its sale to MetrixLab), former Kantar Health CEO Elaine Riddell; and INFACT Research founder John Matthews - lead the company's cross-market team, which works across insights, design and design thinking, customer and employee experience, and activation.

Gen2 and ODP have worked informally over the past year, and both have agreed that 'tightening their bond' will allow them to reach an even broader section of the insights industry. Archibald says that the 'time is ripe' for Gen2 to offer end-to-end investment banking services, and Sonenclar adds: 'Gregg and Lenny have built an unrivalled reputation for helping many, many companies succeed with their knowledge, data, and experience so we are thrilled to now be able to give our clients access to their expertise.'
