Business Analytics Firm Pyramid Raises $120m

Dutch firm Pyramid Analytics has raised $120m in a Series E round of funding, which it says it will use to continue developing its decision intelligence platform, expand its global presence, and capture a larger share of the big data and business analytics market.

Omri KohlPyramid, which is headquartered in Amsterdam and also has operations in London, New York City and Tel Aviv, combines data preparation, business analytics and other data science with artificial intelligence in a single self-service platform. The firm claims to provide instant access to any data at any scale, helping automate the decision-making process for any person and any analytics need.

The oversubscribed round was led by H.I.G.Growth Partners, with participation from of Clal Insurance Enterprises Holdings, Kingfisher Capital, and General Oriental Investments, as well as early investors JVP, Maor Investments, Sequoia Capital and Viola Growth. Pyramid's total raised to date now stands at $211m.
