Brandtech Buys Insight-led eCommerce Platform Acorn-i

Marketing technology company The Brandtech Group has acquired a majority stake in Acorn-i, whose self-service Ignite platform provides a suite of eCommerce analytics and insights products combined with AI-powered retail media capabilities. Terms were not disclosed.

Claire Leon and Ross CaveilleAcorn-i was founded in 2019 by Claire Leon and Ross Caveille (pictured), who both left senior roles at Amazon to combine their expertise with technology to help brands sell more online. Through Ignite, users can track performance, consolidate data from multiple markets into one view, analyse performance trends down to the product level, and aggregate data across multiple re-sellers of chosen brands or products. The firm operates globally from offices in the US and the UK, with approximately 100 clients across five continents.

The acquisition was led by The Brandtech Group Partner, Virginie Douin, former head of Amazon's global partner program, who joined the group last year. Leon comments: 'The Brandtech Group's global reach and current capabilities gives us an exciting opportunity to expand our offering to our collective partners, and across geographical locations. This venture will enable us to accelerate product innovation, and amplify our position in-market'.
