Personalized Video Creation Firm Imposium Acquired

August 22 2022

In New York, omnichannel ad platform Mediaocean has acquired Imposium, whose software allows users to create personalized marketing videos for 'in the moment' consumer targeting. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Jason NickelImposium enables automated generation of content metadata, real-time rendering from data points, A/B testing, and other capabilities that enable marketers to understand the impact of specific video creative elements and automate iterative changes to drive performance. By analyzing and integrating clients' ECRM data (electronic customer relationship management), Imposium can generate personalized, dynamic videos that are directly uploaded and embedded into existing content management systems ready for deployment.

Following the buy, Mediaocean's Flashtalking digital ad serving and creative personalization technology has been integrated with Imposium. Future development will further incorporate Imposium's video creative toolset to enhance Flashtalking's video personalization capabilities and make them available to linear TV advertisers.

Jason Nickel (pictured), CEO and founder of Imposium, comments: 'Imposium's technology enables scalable delivery - we can generate a million unique videos a day if necessary - and our creative mandate has been to enable the marriage of storytelling and programmatic automation in a way that can amplify rather than detract from the brand storyline. We are excited by the opportunity to join forces with Mediaocean to bring these capabilities to a larger audience of global brands and agencies'.
