Canada's Dundas Data Viz Acquired

Toronto-based Business Intelligence (BI), analytics and data viz platform Dundas Data Visualization, Inc, has been acquired by insightsoftware, a provider of reporting, analytics and performance management solutions.

insightsoftware says the move will accelerate innovation for its Logi suite of embedded analytics solutions, which are used by CFOs and finance functions to support client needs in accounting, finance, operations, supply chain, tax, budgeting, planning, HR and disclosure management by bringing together business data in real time.

Dundas' end-to-end BI platform allows software providers to customize dashboards, reports and visualizations, acting as a one stop shop for self-service analytics, with integration into multiple data sources. In 2019 it was awarded a US patent for its in-memory engine, used for optimizing data analysis. Dundas' new parent says the platform will enhance Logi's offer with a strong extract, transform and load (ETL) engine and 'pixel perfect' reporting.
