eCommerce Insights Buy for Bright Data

September 13 2022

Web data platform Bright Data has announced the acquisition of eCommerce insights provider Market Beyond, adding digital shelf analytics to its range of services. On the back of this buy, the firm is launching a new division, Bright Insights.

Yuval YifrachBright Data, known as Luminati from its founding in 2014 until a rebrand last year, provides a platform for the efficient retrieval of public web data, allowing users to research, monitor and analyse data to improve decision-making. Market Beyond, which provides large manufacturers and eCommerce brands with an accurate picture of their market share and that of their competitors, launched in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 2016 and has grown to a global footprint with a strong focus on the US.

Following the acquisition Market Beyond's team will join Bright Data's more than 400 employees, and will lead the newly established Bright Insights division, rolling it out initially to the company's enterprise retail customer base. Bright Data CEO Or Lenchner says the buy and launch 'will allow retail sphere leaders to seamlessly get the real-time web data they need as well as the actionable insights crucial for split-second decision-making'. He adds: 'We look forward to welcoming the Market Beyond team into Bright Data's expanding family, and we are excited about the positive impact this will have on the data industry'.

Market Beyond CEO Yuval Yifrach (pictured) says his team has been working closely with Bright Data's technology for over two years, and believes his own company's capabilities 'complement its industry-first technology perfectly'.
