New Structure, New Faces at GfK Martin Hamblin

October 14 2004

GfK Martin Hamblin has restructured of its research divisions and made a number of senior appointments. Sue Wheeler and Reza Chady join the Board, and become General Managers respectively of the B2B and Technology Departments, within the newly formed Custom Research Division.

Wheeler has worked client side for the last ten years, in Sales & Marketing positions within network operators T-Mobile, 02 and 3; and previously in sales for Rank Xerox, managing government accounts. She will head up a team conducting Financial Services, Utilities and Government research.

Chady joins from Orange where he was MR Director, with specific responsibilities for proposition development, brand and communications research, B2B markets and customer experience. He was previously Group Head of Research at on-line bank Egg and for 5 years Global Head of Research for Nokia Networks.

The Technology Department, where Chady will be joined by Maggie Little, appointed as Divisional Director, will cover automotive, IT, telecommunications and new media research. Little has worked in new media and telecoms marketing and research with a particular interest in Internet research and analysis, for companies including Siemens, BT, and Datamonitor where she was Director of Custom Research.

Board Director Karen Wise heads up the Consumer and Brand Department as its General Manager. This team will specialise in FMCG, food and drink, health & beauty, brand, communications and tracking research.

According to Group MD Kjell de Orr, restructuring the Custom Research Division into vertical market sector teams will help develop and focus its specific in-depth market skills and give clients 'research and consultancy within the context of even stronger market understanding. This approach will mirror the successful model employed by GfK Martin Hamblin's Global HealthCare Division, who operate out of the UK and the US'.
