Toronto-based eCommerce analytics platform Birdseye has raised $500k in a pre-seed round of funding, which it will use to expand its engineering team and continue developing its AI-powered technology.

Adam Bogoroch, Matt Bogoroch and Shardul FreyFounded in 2021 by brothers Matt (CEO) and Adam Bogoroch (COO) as well as Shardul Frey (CTO), Birdseye helps brands automate their marketing efforts by identifying the most valuable products, ads, channels and customer segments to focus on in real time, without the need for manual analysis. Adam Bogoroch says the software enables businesses to assess a product's potential sales before launching a marketing campaign, ensuring that their advertising budget is being spent in the most effective way possible.

New funding comes from Drive Capital, and Matt Bogoroch adds: 'Our goal with Birdseye is to empower small business owners with the same analytics capabilities that are typically only available to large enterprises and expensive advertising agencies. With funding in place, Birdseye is well positioned to level the playing field for growing brands. Our goal is to become the leading ecommerce software for Shopify and eCommerce businesses'.
