Acquisition for KM Firm Bloomfire

Austin, Texas-based knowledge management software firm Bloomfire has acquired SaaS customer support specialist Seva, Inc., whose offer includes a conversational AI application. Terms were not disclosed.

Seva offers an AI-powered agent which searches databases and returns answers rapidly to support teams, helping them respond rapidly to customer needs. The agent can be integrated into CX platforms including Slack, MS Teams, Salesforce, Zendesk and JIRA. Bloomfire says the combination with its own KM and analytics tools and expertise will produce solutions that 'empower organizations to optimize knowledge sharing and enhance customer experiences'. New features are scheduled in Knowledge Management tools, generative AI and Federated search.

According to Bloomfire, the combined technology will serve as a 'Digital Knowledge Worker' supporting companies' need to retain and share knowledge and deliver insights, as well as giving enhanced customer support. Solutions accessed via this 'Worker' will include sentiment analysis and intelligent chatbots to help unlock insights from clients' knowledge base. Sanjay Jain, Seva founder & CEO, will now serve as Bloomfire's CTO.
