August 14 2023

Data collaboration specialist LiveRamp has expanded its partnership with social media platform Pinterest to help advertisers target audiences on the latter's global platform.

Travis ClingerBoth firms are based in San Francisco. Pinterest now boasts an audience of more than 465 million visitors each month, looking to discover products and services for wardrobes, new homes, holidays and other purposes.

Marketers can now reach their customers on Pinterest with seamless activation on LiveRamp's privacy-compliant RampID system. The two firms already partner to allow clients to use LiveRamp's interoperable clean room technology to combine Pinterest audience data with first-party data. The tie-up now spans the US, Canada, and Mexico; Argentina and Brazil; select European markets; and Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

The new integration promises advertisers improved measurement and analytics, and more opportunities to derive value from first-party data - it also provides security against the planned deprecation of third party cookies next year.

Bill Watkins, Chief Revenue Officer at Pinterest comments: 'We're excited to continue building on the momentum of our privacy-centric data collaboration and measurement partnerships with LiveRamp. We're now enabling even more marketers around the world to activate on Pinterest without compromising on control or privacy. Global marketers can build better campaigns with LiveRamp and Pinterest today. They can also build campaigns with the confidence that this partnership is sustainable beyond third-party cookie deprecation and other ecosystem shifts'.

Travis Clinger (pictured), SVP, Activations & Addressability at LiveRamp, adds: 'we're excited to offer marketers across the world the ability to seamlessly leverage RampID for people-based marketing on Pinterest, enabling better campaigns and better measurement'.
