Arbitron Appoints Radio Product Manager

Audience Measurement specialist Arbitron Inc. has appointed Jane Shapiro to the new position of Product Manager, National Radio Research Services, where her duties will include direct involvement with national radio ratings service RADAR.

RADAR measures network commercial audiences for radio commercials aired on 47 radio networks. Shapiro will be based in the Columbia, Maryland office, will report to Brad Feldhaus, vice president of Radio Product Management and Client Services and will work closely with Bruce Supovitz, Vice President of Arbitron's National Radio Services. Supovitz says the new position will allow the division to increase its focus on the needs of national clients while developing National Radio Service offerings.

Shapiro was previously Senior Director of Research at ABC Radio Networks. Prior to that, she worked as the Research Director at the Radio Advertising Bureau in the member services department, and spent three years at Arbitron in the early 1990s as a client services representative in the Rating Agency and Advertising Sales division. She received her B.A. in Journalism, Broadcasting and Speech at Buffalo State College.
