PureSpectrum Launches PureText API Integration

September 27 2023

In the US, online sample marketplace PureSpectrum has made its PureText respondent screening solution available as an external API, which it says will add a 'critical layer of security and confidence' while saving hours of manual text review to any insights platform.

Mark MenigLaunched in 2016 by former Cint US MD Michael McCrary, PureSpectrum provides a marketplace for buyers and sellers of online sample. Its PureText solution works in conjunction with its PureScore respondent scoring system, designed to measure individual respondent quality, regardless of source, detecting survey-taking patterns across billions of survey sessions per year.

Using natural language processing technology, PureText screens respondents based on their textual responses to open-ended questions, before entering a researcher's survey. It is designed to uncover patterns in language, accounting for nuances like spelling errors, slang, and colloquial phrasing, and also for contextuality.

PureSpectrum says the integrated PureText API screens text responses using an extensive dataset of millions of data points, and some of the screening process includes AI-generated text detection, language mismatch, and deduplication. Mark Menig (pictured), Chief Product Officer, adds: 'PureText continues to pave the way in the industry for dependable, high-quality data collection. With the release of its API, researchers can integrate PureText into their existing systems, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and security of their open-ended survey responses'.
