Audience Analyst Beatgrid Hires Nielsen's Brennan

In New York, audience measurement specialist Beatgrid has appointed long-time Nielsen exec Terrie Brennan as Chief Commercial Officer.

Terrie BrennanFounded in 2014 and headquartered in the Netherlands, Beatgrid specialises in cross-media ad exposure and retail footfall measurement, and has developed passive ACR technology (Automatic Content Recognition), for panel-based measurement combined with geolocation tracking.

Brennan (pictured) joins after 44 years at Nielsen, where she contributed to the company's growth in the US and Europe. Most recently she spent eight years in London as the company's European Digital Lead; having earlier worked for 35 years in New York in roles such as EVP General Manager, Advertiser Solutions; and SVP New Business and Strategy. She began her career as a Research Analyst at Nielsen Media Research, before being named VP of Product Management and EVP, leading the launch of Digital Ad Ratings in the US. She has also managed Nielsen's digital footprint in Brazil, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Spain and the UK.

In her new role, Brennan will spearhead Beatgrid's sales and marketing efforts, growing the firm's offering as the 'only true single-source advertising effectiveness currency'.
