Global Samsung Win for WPP

Samsung Electronics has appointed WPP agencies to provide ongoing support for its core global brand marketing programs in strategic markets around the world, including MR input from Research International.

The contract provides long-term assignments for several companies within the WPP group, in areas including advertising development and implementation, market research, and media planning and buying. WPP's agencies have already begun preliminary work on the account, with the aim of having a new advertising campaign launched in early 2005.

J. Walter Thompson Company (JWT) will provide global management of the account from a New York base. Berlin Cameron will be the lead creative agency and Group M will oversee media planning and buying, with additional support from Research International and Landor Associates among others.
