$14m Funds for Data Monitoring Firm Pantomath

October 17 2023

Data observability and traceability platform Pantomath, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, has raised $14m in Series A funding. The money will be used to develop further AI offerings and to recruit for its engineering, product, customer success, marketing and sales divisions.

$14m Funds for Data Monitoring Firm PantomathThe firm was founded last year by former GE Aerospace big data and analytics leader Somesh Saxena, and provides automated real-time monitoring and cross-platform pipeline lineage to help clients automate their data operations and improve the reliability of data. The solution alerts organizations to data quality issues, and provides log data and other impact analysis for them to troubleshoot and rectify the problems. Saxena says the platform differs from others on the market in that it continuously and in real time monitors jobs and datasets across different data platforms, within the context of the data pipelines they are a part of, 'so users know exactly what's broken, where it's broken and why it's broken'.

The round was led by Sierra Ventures, with participation from Seed investors Bowery Capital and Epic Ventures.

According to Wikipedia, 'a pantomath is a person who wants to know or knows everything' - although the word reportedly doesn't appear in any (other?) dictionaries.
