Attest Adds 'Video Responses' Feature

October 19 2023

Users of consumer research platform Attest can now enhance surveys with video responses, adding a qual element to the firm's existing quant offer and bringing them together in its dashboard.

Jeremy KingAttest was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in London and New York. Its research platform and self-serve dashboard are designed for ease of use, but can also be coupled with on-demand research expertise. The firm has raised more than $85m in venture capital.

The new feature uses AI to provide automated transcripts, and to screen videos to ensure only high quality responses are delivered. Founder and CEO Jeremy King says it is intended to make qual research available to a greater number of brands, offering the depth and nuance of focus groups but in a much more scalable and cost/time efficient way. He comments: 'Organising research can be an expensive and time consuming task; especially detailed, in-depth interviews or focus groups with customers or target customers. Because of this, brands do qualitative research very rarely or not at all. We wanted to make qual research much more accessible by facilitating a way to collect real video-based responses digitally. Now we have enhanced our platform to enable video responses, gathering qual data is as easy as sending a text message'.

Principal Product Manager Vanessa West says clients who have used Video Responses alongside in-person focus groups have found similar themes emerging, validating the feature's usefulness as a more cost and time efficient alternative to focus groups.
