October 25 2023

AI-powered ad creative effectiveness research platform DAIVID has appointed Dan Best as Strategic Advisor, Clients.

Dan BestUK-based DAIVID uses technologies including facial coding, machine learning and computer vision to help brands optimise the impact of their creative and media strategies, and was formed two years ago by Ian Forrester, former Insight Head at video tracking platform Unruly. Its solutions include an AI-powered ad algorithm called REACT, currently in beta, which predicts the emotions people will feel while watching an ad without the need to show the content to audience testing panels; planning tool AUDIENCE, which identifies bullseye attention and emotional targets for creative; and at-scale ad testing solution EVALUATE. In the last six months, the company has added six new team members.

Best (pictured), who is based in London, brings more than two decades of experience in commercial leadership. He was part of the senior UK team at global media platform Teads, responsible for expanding the company's relationships with FMCG clients, and at global kids and family media company WildBrain Spark was Head of Advertising EMEA. He has also worked at Unruly (now Nexxen) and at The Telegraph newspaper. In his new role he will be responsible for expanding DAIVID's relationships with brands and agencies.

He reports to Forrester, who comments, 'This is an exciting new chapter for DAIVID and I'm absolutely thrilled that someone of Dan's incredible experience and industry clout is joining us. At the moment, Adland is only seeing a glimpse of the potential impact AI can have on the industry - and with Dan's help, I can't wait to show how our AI-powered technology can help our clients supercharge their creative effectiveness at scale'.
