Upgrade for Research Platform iMotions

January 19 2024

Denmark-based behaviour analytics software firm iMotions has launched version 10 of its platform, promising 'deeper research possibilities with enhancements for setting up, building and managing studies and study design'.

Peter HartzbechFounded in 2005 and is headquartered in Copenhagen, iMotions serves more than 1,500 organizations around the world including academic institutions, global corporates and major healthcare organizations, offering real-time access to nonconscious emotional, cognitive and behavioral data. The platform integrates and synchronizes data from more than 50 varied sensors and trackers into a single interface to provide 'the most complete picture of human behavior'. In October 2021 the company was acquired by Swedish eye tracking technology firm Smart Eye for $46.6m.

Key improvements in iMotions 10 affect the platform's study builder and user interface, providing a simpler start for novice researchers, along with more and clearer options within the study builder and editor which enhance efficiency and flexibility for more experienced practitioners. Flexibility upgrades include a more controlled and customizable environment, allowing rapid adjustments and study designs of 'any' depth with a comprehensive, feature-rich toolkit. The enhanced interface includes a study overview feature, enabling users to conduct 'more valid research'.

CEO and founder Peter Hartzbech (pictured) comments: 'With iMotions 10, we've made our core Lab solution more dynamic and at the same time more user-friendly, further enhancing the possibilities for human behavior research. We've reimagined the interface and introduced a number of new features so that from setup to navigation to data analysis, our platform can make advanced research more accessible and impactful'.
