Signal AI Buys Online Content Analyst Social 360

Reputation and risk intelligence provider Signal AI has acquired Social 360, which monitors and analyses online comment influencing the reputation of clients around the globe.

Signal AI serves more than 40% of the Fortune 500, analysing external data across 226 markets and 75 languages to navigate industry trends, manage reputational shifts and mitigate risks. Eighteen months ago it acquired US corporate reputation platform KELP.

The buy brings together traditional, social, regulatory and alternative data sources into a unified platform, and unites two companies who have been partners over a long period. Social 360 analyses online content from more than '90 million sources' including social media, political and regulatory updates, and emerging alternative platforms. Both firms provide support to clients at time of PR and company crises.

The firms, both of which were founded in London, say Social 360 has 'pioneered unique ways to monitor the digital landscape, including influential organisations and people', and that the buy will fuse 'new technology, human analysis and diverse datasets'. It will also bring a number of new product offerings to Signal AI, including a corporate influencer monitoring tool, and pharmacovigilance expertise / monitoring.

Signal AI CEO David Benigson comments: 'With Social 360's capabilities and billions of data points integrated into our AI-powered platform, we are creating a new standard for reputation and risk management'.

Ryszard Bublik, Chief Exec of Social 360, says the deal will 'create a business that has a 360 degree view of online content across every channel, giving clients unique visibility of the issues that matter for reputation and risk'.
