Strategy Hire for Video Research Tech firm Qualie

In Australia, video-based insight consultancy Qualie has appointed Lena Kelly as Senior Researcher and Strategist.

MR tech company Qualie was founded in 2017 by Ainslie Williams and Rob Marjenberg, together with founding CTO Steve Ford and SaaS and D2C expert Dr Adir Shiffman. Priding itself on 'taking the complex and making it clear', the firm gathers qualitative feedback in video format - each video is then rated for resonance by hundreds of participants to determine which best represent overall opinion.

The brand refresh has been conducted in partnership with creative agency ABEL, and includes a refreshed visual identity and a refined mission statement. CEO Williams says of the move: 'After years of flying under the radar while building the platform and amassing an enviable client list, it became clear that we had a unique point of view on how to do great research, and more importantly how it's delivered'.

Kelly worked in PR and event management at the Australian School of Performing Arts before moving into research at The Lab Insight & Strategy, where she has spent the last eight and a half years rising from Consultant to Senior Strategist. Williams says of her arrival: 'Besides being top qual talent in Australia, I'm very conscientious about who we bring into the Qualie business, culture is everything to us and Lena couldn't be a better fit. She's a strong analytical thinker along with being very grounded. We're extremely grateful she decided to leave her longstanding role at The Lab and jump on board with us'.
