Marketing communications agency Euro RSCG has recently appointed Andrew Benett, ex-FutureBrand, as Executive VP and Chief Strategy Officer of its New York office. His responsibilities will include development of the firm's Creative Business Idea(r) positioning and leadership of its 'Prosumer Pulse' consumer tracking studies.
Benett joins from IPG's strategy and design consultancy FutureBrand, in the news lately losing three of its staff to Millward Brown (see DRNO articles 3477 and 3687). Benett was FutureBrand's Executive Director, Strategy and Innovation from 2003.
He previously spent five years as Managing Partner at WPP Company Fusion 5 / Added Value USA, where he launched The Henley Centre North America, and worked on long-term strategy for autmotive and food & drink clients among others. Earlier, he worked for The 14th Floor Brand Consultancy and its spin-off, Bright Sun Consulting. He began in advertising as an Account Executive at 14th Floor's parent company, McCann-Erickson, New York. Benett holds a B.S. in Psychology and a BFA in Art History from Georgetown University in Washington D.C.
CEO David Jones said Benett's remit will be 'to forge a new model of strategic content and delivery, a broader definition of creativity that transcends traditional advertising and communications and represents the agency for the future'.
