Clothing Panellists to Reveal More

STS Market Research, a US-based provider of consumer apparel information and behavioral analyses, has added new categories to its AccuPanel(SM) survey. In addition to sportswear and underwear / 'intimates', its 13,000 respondents will now provide data on swimwear, men's outerwear and suits and blazers.

STS says the new categories are aiming for comprehensive coverage of the US clothing market. The new data is collected from this month and will include everything from brand and channel to fabric and style. Meanwhile AccuPanel will also begin capturing topline penetration data on accessories, sleepwear, daywear, socks, and hosiery.

According to Chairman and CEO Art Spar, 'STS is expanding the apparel categories tracked by AccuPanel in order to enhance the apparel industry's knowledge of consumer purchase behaviors.
