Travel Research Launch

March 16 2005

US travel, tourism and hospitality researcher PhoCusWright Inc. has launched an Advisory Services Practice, which will provide strategic consulting and custom research services, and appointed John Bray as its first Vice President. Bray led the Sapient Travel and Hospitality Practice as Vice President from 2001 to 2004.

The new unit will supplement The PhoCusWright Channel, the company's subscription-based, syndicated service featuring business, market, and competitive intelligence, and will focus on three primary areas: business and management development, electronic commerce and distribution, and channel evolution.

Philip C. Wolf, President and CEO of PhoCusWright says prospective clients for advisory services include international hotel chains, new technology entrants to the travel market, travel fulfillment centers, traditional tour operators, and travel management companies.

Bray says the travel industry is at 'a critical junction' with 'huge opportunities' for clients. 'The economy is improving and companies are moving from a cost-saving mentality to one that's ready for investment. The market landscape has also changed, with some companies dropping from the field during the downturn and new entrants currently emerging'.

PhoCusWright's web site is at www.phocuswright.com
