Naval Engineer Surfaces at ABI

ABI Research has appointed Eric Mantion as Principal Analyst in its broadband and residential entertainment group. Mantion holds degrees in nuclear engineering from the United States Naval Academy, and served in nuclear attack submarines before working for Integrated Device Technology, Inc. and In-Stat.

Mantion will focus on topics such as broadband ubiquity, digital living, and interactive entertainment, as well as AdvancedTCA (Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture).

In the late 1990s, he managed construction and other projects for the Navy's SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team One before serving as product marketing engineer at the SMP division of Integrated Device Technology, Inc. At In-Stat, he was a senior analyst with the Networking Group.

Mantion is the latest of several experienced senior analysts to join ABI in recent months. The company is on the Web at www.abiresearch.com
