Awards Recognise Online Marketing Research and Analytics

The ClickZ Network, online provider of news and information about interactive marketing, has presented Marketing Excellence Awards to web analysis companies ClickTracks, WebSideStory, and WebTrends in its Research & Analytics categories.

The awards, chosen by ClickZ.com readers and editors, recognise the technologies and companies that made a positive difference in the online marketing industry in 2004.

The best web site analytics tool went to ClickTracks for the third year running. The company states that its web analytics software was designed 'out of sheer frustration with existing web metrics offerings. Spending hour upon hour trying to understand web site visitors was certainly a motivating experience: there had to be a better way.'

WebSideStory won the best small business analytics tool. HBX Analytics, the company's flagship product, is an on-demand web analytics solution, delivering ' up-to-the-second insight' into online activity and visitor behavior. WebTrends was named as the best enterprise analytics tool.

In the Marketing Technology section, 24/7 Real Media won the award for best behavioural targeting technology product for Insight ACT, which is designed to help publishers analyse and cluster audiences.
