Swedish Sports Division for TNS

TNS Gallup in Sweden has launched a new TNSSPORT sports research and sponsorship evaluation service. The division aims to provide an understanding of the value and impact of sport to Swedish rights owners and sponsors, as well as to the international sports community.

TNSSPORT also operates in Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Spain, the UK and the USA, providing sports media analysis and market research for more than 300 rights holders and sponsors worldwide. The new Swedish division will be managed by Peter Englund and based in the TNS Gallup's office in Stockholm.

TNS Gallup Sweden currently works across technology & finance, automotive, business & services, consumer and media research. Per Bostroem, the company's MD, says the Scandinavian market is evolving rapidly and that 'sponsors, teams and agencies now require measurement that is consistent and proven in other markets'.

Richard Ames, MD of TNSSPORT, says the integration of sports research expertise into the existing business will 'deliver a unique and strong package for customers'. He also states that coverage in the Scandinavian market will strengthen the group's international offering.
