Swedish Telecoms Analysts Merge

Swedish wireless market analyst Berg Insight has acquired fellow Swedish agency Locationbox, which specialises in location-based telecoms services and telematics. Locationbox will be integrated into Berg Insight.

Berg Insight, which was founded last year, provides syndicated reports to telecoms companies in more than 30 different countries. Locationbox also delivers syndicated business intelligence reports, as well as providing a free industry newsletter, and offering custom business intelligence services.

As a result of the acquisition, Berg will be able to offer its clients a specialist knowledge of location-based services and telematics. Meanwhile, existing clients of Locationbox will have access to Berg insight's broader portfolio of wireless research.

Tobias Ryberg Chairman of the Board, Berg Insight, says both companies share the same enthusiasm and vision from the wireless industry.
