Arbitron has promoted John Snyder to the newly created position of Vice President, Portable People Meter Sales. He was formerly VP for National Group Services, handling the Clear Channel and Citadel accounts, for which he will retain responsibility.

Snyder joined Arbitron in 1995 as a training specialist for the company's Radio Sales Services. He later moved into an Account Executive role. Prior to joining Arbitron, he worked in radio in Washington, DC and Burlington, VT.

In his new role, Snyder will be the primary strategist for PPM sales, focusing on radio groups and agency holding companies. He will continue to report to Carol Hanley., Senior VP for US Media Services.
