Ged Parton, who left Opinion Leader Research earlier this year, has joined Synovate as Global Strategy Development Director, following two years of discussions with the company. Parton's responsibilities will include developing Synovate's existing practice areas and investigating opportunities to extend into new areas.
Parton worked as Managing Director at public sector specialist Opinion Leader Research for just eight months, before leaving in September. Prior to this, he worked as MD of brand and communications research specialist Hall and Partners in New York. In his new role, he will be based initially in London.
Synovate currently has four practice areas: Healthcare, Motoresearch, Censydiam and Loyalty. Global CEO Adrian Chedore says these areas 'are the key to implementing our global strategy'. He adds: 'Building on their success,
Synovate will be investigating ways to further develop these specialisms globally.'
Speaking of the appointment, Chedore said: 'We are delighted to finally have Ged on board following a dialogue that has spanned two years. We believe his diverse experience across the marketing services arena and his hard core research skills make him well qualified to drive our strategic development forward.'
