TNS Expands Board

Following last week's appointment of Donald Brydon as Chair and David Lowden as CEO, TNS has added Pedro Ros to its board of directors. Ros will take on the newly created role of MD for Global Clients and Sectors, which includes responsibilities for the company's custom business.

Last week, the company reporeted decreased demand for custom research in the US (www.mrweb.com/drno/news5041.htm ). In Western Europe, the company's custom research services saw 'limited growth' over the year.

In his new role, Ros will be responsible for the global account and specialist sector activities of the TNS custom business.

Ros has worked in various positions in the syndicated and custom business of TNS since joining the group in 1985. Most recently he has had responsibility for the Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa and Latin America regions.

Lowden says the appointment 'reinforces our client-focused approach, as we place increased emphasis on servicing our major, multi-national clients through our expertise in their business sectors'.
