Technology and automotive MR firm ABI Research has appointed Stuart Carlaw, formerly of IMS Research, as Principal Analyst for Wireless Connectivity in its new London office.
At IMS Research, which provides MR services to the electronics industry, Carlaw worked as a Senior Market Analyst before becoming Director of Wireless Research. Prior to that, he was a Telecoms Technician in the British Army. In his new role, he will initially focus on the use of Bluetooth technologies in the automotive industry.
ABI's VP Edward Rerisi explains that Carlaw has years of hands-on experience with wireless technologies, as well as being a recognised expert in the markets. 'Our goal is to expand our research and advisory services covering these markets, and Stuart's know-how will enable us to reach it.'
ABI announced the launch of its new London office last week (www.mrweb.com/drno/news5032.htm ). The company, headquartered in New York, also has offices Arizona, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Its web site is at www.abiresearch.com
