Record Revenue for Knowledge Networks

January 25 2006

US research agency Knowledge Networks has surpassed its previous records for quarterly and annual revenue, achieving $9m in revenue for the fourth quarter of 2005, and $32 million for the year overall. Revenue for the full year is 7.4% higher than in 2004.

This time last year, the company announced a 14.6% increase in revenue, a 63% increase in profitability, and an 82% improvement in cash flow. The company was ranked number 23 in the 2005 Honomichl Top 50 of US research firms, based on its 2004 revenues.

Patricia Graham, Knowledge Networks' Executive VP for Client Service and Business Development, says the company 'will continue to invest in staff growth and performance, along with innovative sources of marketing information - such as the recently launched KnowledgeCommunities, which allows us to not just meet, but anticipate the needs of our clients.'

Knowledge Networks specialises in brands, media, advertising, and analytics, and runs what it describes as 'the only projectable web-based consumer panel'. It also has a government and academic research practice.

The company was formed seven years ago and is owned principally by private equity firms Oak Investment Partners, Maveron, Alloy Partners and Oak Hill Venture Partners. Its web site is at www.knowledgenetworks.com
