SAS Appoints Retail Analyst

SAS, a US provider of business intelligence software and services, has hired Alexi Sarnevitz, formerly of AMR Research and Accenture, as Senior Director of global retail strategy. He will be responsible for developing retail technology solutions and strategies.

As an analyst at AMR Research, he built relationships with SAS, its competitors and various retailers. Prior to AMR, he was an Accenture Associate Partner, leading the development and roll-out of new processes and technologies in the merchandising, marketing, pricing, supply chain and store operations areas.

He has also held senior management positions for retailers including Payless ShoeSource, Dixon's Group, and Edison Brothers Stores. He has an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
