Ziment Hires Bowditch as Advisor

February 3 2006

Allan Bowditch, a former CEO of Global Healthcare for Martin Hamblin, has joined The Ziment Group in a Strategic Advisor role. He was with Martin Hamblin until May 2004, and was responsible for building the company's healthcare business over 30 years.

Last year, Bowditch received a lifetime achievement award from the Pharmaceutical Business Intelligence Research Group (PBIRG), an organisation of US pharma companies. In 2003, he received a Special Award from the European Pharmaceutical Market Research Association (EphMRA) for his contribution to global marketing research.

In his role as Strategic Advisor, Bowditch will assist The Ziment Group to build its European efforts, to develop new products, and to train and develop staff. He will also continue his work with healthcare and pharmaceutical MR industry associations.

CEO Howard Ziment states: 'Having known and competed with Allan for years, I felt it was high time to get him on our team. He brings a depth of knowledge of our industry that is unparalleled.'

Commenting on his appointment, Bowditch said: 'The Ziment Group is a dynamic, diverse organization. The opportunity to bring the expertise I have built throughout my career to such a place has limitless possibilities.'

The Ziment Group, part of WPP's Kantar Group, consists of Ziment, a full-service custom MR consultancy for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries; WebSurveyResearch, which houses a dedicated panel of physicians; imap Research, a division dedicated to syndicated market tracking research; and Consumer Health Sciences, which conducts the National Health and Wellness Survey.
