eDigitalResearch Offers Survey Translation

February 7 2006

UK online MR specialist eDigitalResearch has launched a survey translation feature for its online survey tools. Surveys can now be programmed in one language (usually English), and professionally translated into multiple languages, before returning the results to the home language.

The origin and language of respondents automatically feeds into survey data, and can be analysed along with other results. Clients such as Sony, Skype and Metro International have already made use of the translation tool.

Lisa Bonczyk, the company's Marketing Manager, explains: 'eDR translations are made by professional, flesh and blood individuals rather than a software application. This means that grammatical differences, context and idioms are picked up. Clients and translators work through an online interface, simply checking against an interactive survey for any errors.'

eDigitalResearch, founded in 1999, combines research expertise with an understanding of web site development. It founded the British Life Internet project, which samples the UK population using digital communications, in conjunction with City University and Sheffield University.

The company is online at www.edigitalresearch.com
