Forrester Research has appointed Dennis van Lingen as President, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), effective May 15. A long-time Forrester marketing executive, he succeeds Robert Davidson who leaves the company on June 30.
Van Lingen joined Forrester in 2000 as Director of Marketing in the company's Amsterdam office, and took charge of European marketing strategy and events until 2004 when he became VP, Marketing, Americas. He worked previously in the marketing division of Nissan Europe for eight years, and as a marketing officer at Royal Philips Electronics in the Netherlands. He is a Chartered Marketer from the UK's CIM and holds a DipM postgraduate diploma in Marketing from CIM.
Thanking Davidson for his many accomplishments, Chairman and CEO George F. Colony said succession planning had prepared van Lingen for his new role. 'Over the past six years, Dennis has held leadership roles both in Europe and in the US. His tenure in both regions, extensive knowledge of the company, and strategic and operational expertise will enable him to effectively lead and enhance our EMEA business.'
