Digital Imaging Service Relaunched

March 1 2006

Digital imaging specialist Lyra Research has announced a relaunched online advisory service, now called Consumer Imaging Intelligence (CII), providing competitive research tools for clients in the digital camera, camera phone, photo-printing and online photo-service industries.

CII is supported by an experienced team of analysts and researchers, and provides detailed analysis of the consumer digital imaging industry, products, and services, including the full image life cycle, from capture to viewing, printing, storing and sharing. It includes Forecast 360, delivered as an Excel spreadsheet with a new dashboard-style user interface and automatic charting functions, which provides data on the various sub-segments, both worldwide and broken down by region for Asia Pacific; Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; Latin America; and North America.

CII's Director Steve Hoffenberg says the relaunch reflects the 'rapidly shifting ground beneath companies in the consumer imaging space. As more consumers convert to digital photography and the devices and services to support digital imaging proliferate, the market's potential will continue to grow.' He predicts 'a long and painful period of industry consolidation ahead' and says Lyra's goal is 'to arm companies with the information they need to maximize revenue and profit and - more importantly - ensure their strategic long-term viability.'

Formerly called the Digital Photography Advisory Service, CII also primary market research studies, industry analyses, expert consultation, targeted industry news services and briefings.

Lyra was founded in 1991 and has more than 2,000 clients in more than 40 countries. It is online at www.lyra.com
